Uniforms & dress code
Getting dressed here is meant to be easy on a school morning. Red or navy polos and khakis — most of it from any store you already shop at, and hand-me-downs between siblings are entirely normal. Logo shirts and sweatshirts come from the KCA spirit store.
Order KCA logo shirts
Spirit store shirts, tees, long-sleeves, embroidered polos, and hoodies are available online. Solid red or solid navy non-logoed polos may be purchased from any store.
Chapel day
Thursday chapel uniform
Girls, PK3–8th
- KCA approved plaid jumper, skirt, or skort
- The shirt under the jumper must be a red polo
- Tights or leggings should be worn with the plaid in cooler weather. Navy is the preferred color.

Boys, PK3–8th
- Navy pants
- KCA embroidered polo shirt
- Belts are required for grades 2–8
Daily uniform
Monday through Friday
This is the everyday dress code for all five school days. On Thursday, students add the chapel uniform described above, and jeans are allowed on Friday.
Tops
Any KCA logo shirt, including tees, long-sleeves, and embroidered polos. Solid red or solid navy non-logoed polos are also acceptable. Retired Learn-Pray-Play shirts are not allowed.
Bottoms
Navy or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or skorts. No capris. Pants should be uniform-style boot cut or straight leg. No elastic waists or cuffs for grades 1–8.
Jeans day
Jeans are allowed on Fridays. They must have no rips, tears, or shreds.
Outerwear, shoes & grooming
The finishing details
Sweaters
Navy or white cardigans that stop at the waist.
Sweatshirts & hoodies
Only KCA logo sweatshirts and hoodies are allowed in class.
Socks & shoes
Closed-toe tennis or sport shoes with a rubber sole. Any socks without offensive emblems or designs. No Crocs or boots ever.
Belts
Belts must be worn daily for students in grades 2–8.
Dresses & length
- Khaki or navy uniform jumpers over a solid red or navy polo
- Shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers no shorter than 3 inches above the knee
- Leggings or shorts must be worn under skirts and dresses
- Polo dresses only in Pre-K through 2nd grade
Grooming
- No unusual hair color or style; hair must be clean, neat, and out of eyes
- No hats in the building
- Tattoos are unacceptable
- No earrings for boys; girls may wear no more than two piercings per lobe
Dress code pass days
Special dress days
Dress code pass days should remain modest and respectful. Crocs, boots, and slides are never allowed, even on pass days.
