Financial stewardship
How we handle money
KCA is a nonprofit ministry funded almost entirely by the families it serves. Detailed figures for the current year are being finalized with our board and will be published here once approved.
Our commitments
What you can count on
A nonprofit, not a business
Kentucky Christian School, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. There are no owners and no profits — every dollar goes back into teaching children.
Board oversight
An annual operating budget is reviewed and approved by the school board, which is accountable to the families and churches that support KCA.
Tuition doesn't cover everything
Tuition and fees pay for most of what it costs to educate a student. Donors and ministry partners close the remaining gap so tuition can stay within reach of working families.
Ask and we'll tell you
Current families and prospective families can request our financial statements and annual report from the office. We would rather answer the question than have you wonder.
Educating one KCA student costs more than most families in Taylor County can carry alone. That is not a criticism of our families — it is the arithmetic of a county whose median household income is about $60,000. Donors and ministry partners exist to close exactly that distance, so a family's income never decides whether their child can be here.
Public filings
Our IRS filings are public
Kentucky Christian School, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 61-1178565, and gifts are tax-deductible. Like every nonprofit, our federal Form 990 filings are public record and can be read through the IRS or a nonprofit database.
