Student Photo Policy
Kentucky Christian Academy asks first, in writing, before a child's photo or name is used anywhere. This page explains what we do with photos, what you are agreeing to when you sign the permission form, and how to have something removed.
The short version
We ask first, and we ask separately
Every family fills out a photo and media permission form with enrollment paperwork. It has three separate lines, because a photo in the yearbook and a photo on Facebook are not the same thing. We follow exactly what you mark.
Yearbook and inside the school
The yearbook, classroom displays, hallway boards, and printed items sent home to KCA families.
This website
kcawarriors.com and printed enrollment material we hand to visiting families.
Facebook and social media
The school's Facebook page or any other public social account.
What you can expect
Our four commitments
Permission is never assumed
If there is no signed form for your child, we use nothing — no photo, no video, no artwork, no name.
Each choice stands alone
Saying yes to the yearbook does not say yes to Facebook. You may say yes to one, two, all three, or none.
You can change your mind any time
Tell the office in writing and your answers change from that day forward. You never have to explain why.
Staff check before posting
Before any photo goes out publicly, the person posting confirms in our office record that a signed form covers that child for that exact use.
Names
How children are identified
- No child under the age of eight is ever named on a public post.
- Older students may be identified by first name and grade only, and only when a parent has signed a release for that award, team, or event.
- We never pair a full name with a photo of a young child.
- We never publish class rosters, home addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, ride arrangements, or medical information.
- The photographs on this website are stand-in illustrations, not pictures of KCA children.
Group photos
A few honest details
Wide shots and events
At games, programs, and open events, families and visitors take their own pictures. We cannot control those, and we ask everyone to be thoughtful about other people's children.
Security video
Cameras on the building record for safety only. That footage is not posted anywhere and is shared only with law enforcement if needed.
Sycamore and grades
Photos and records inside the parent portal stay behind the parent login. Nothing from Sycamore is published on this website.
Takedown requests
Ask us to remove a photo and we will
Email or call the office and we respond within one school day — no explanation required. You can also ask for a copy of the permission form we have on file for your child.
