ACTIVITIES

KCA offers a wide variety of activities for our students. We encourage participation in order to develop their God-given skills and talents. KCA continually strives to add new opportunities as they become available.

Archery

KCA students in grades 4-8 are eligible to participate in archery competitions and third-grade students may practice with the team. Our archery team has a rich history which includes a national championship title.

Basketball

KCA students can participate in basketball in different age categories. We often host tournaments that include local area teams.

Christmas Program

Annually, KCA students are featured in Christmas productions in which they recreate the story of the birth of Jesus in a new and exciting way.

Cross Country

KCA offers cross country to all students. Our season is from July to October. We had much success in our inaugural season and hope to build both our team and successes in the coming season.

Field Day

At year-end, KCA students are divided into teams and participate in “Warrior” field competitions.

Jr. Beta

Traditionally, students are awarded membership based on their grades (GPA), or test scores and character traits.

The Junior Beta Club is for students in 4th through 8th grade.

Math Olympics

Math Olympics is designed to stimulate an interest in mathematics and to recognize the achievements of students.  Math Olympics is a local and regional competition for 3rd grade and up.

Speech Meet

Speech Meet gives students the opportunity to develop techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, and with poise and confidence. Students demonstrate their ability by delivering a memorized poem, speech, or passage. Students in grades 1-5 are required to participate.

Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee is not an exercise in memorization, but in spelling abilities. Proper and confident communication skills are encouraged while students also develop vocabulary and accurate word usage. Students in grades 1-5 are required to participate.
